Lauren Donatelli will graduate from Penn State University’s Schreyer Honors College in May of 2019 with a Masters of Architectural Engineering and a Minor in Business. She made the Dean’s list each semester and received distinguished awards in her field, including the WEP Joelle Women in Engineering Leadership Award, the PACE Leadership in Construction Management Award, Outstanding Performance in AE Construction Management Award, as well as several scholarships.
The summer experiences that she had were meaningful, as she completed an internship with Turner Construction in 2018 at the Shell Ethane Cracker Plant in Monaca, PA. Additional internships were completed with PJDick at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex and the Central Catholic High School STEM Building, both in Pittsburgh. Lauren's international expertise is also impressive, having served as the Construction Manager for the Penn State Bridges to Prosperity Team in Rwanda. Additionally, she also traveled with Penn State representatives to explore China, the Czech Republic and Colombia.
Lauren was also active in many organizations, serving as Career Envoy for the College of Engineering, President of S:PACE Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence, Coach for the Penn State WEP Advisory Council, and Envoy Captain for the Penn State WEP Sophomore Women Ambassador Team (SWAT). Her most rewarding experience was participating in the Penn State Dance Marathon, where she served in increasingly responsible capacities each year.
Lauren is OSHA-10 certified and has a good understanding of a wide variety of technologies. In her spare time she enjoys friends, family, her four grandparents, and her golden retriever, Vino.
